Amazing location on the beach!!! Not far from town at all, about 20 minutes walk. Staff could be a bit friendlier- especially at the reception, but all the other staff were lovely and helpful. I will return with no doubts- the location beats everything. 5 minutes walk away there are more private beaches if you want to avoid all the kids and families! Also- no fridges anywhere, a BIG minus!! Sort that out, and then it is perfect. jurate, from Lithuania ~ 26th Aug 2009

this is honestly the worst hostel i have ever stayed at. the rooms are tiny, there is one bathroom to 24 people, there is no kitchen facilities. you are not allowed to eat and drink your own food on the terrace, cause they have a kiosk. private beach? - a joke! the whole town goes there. on my second day the canalisation overflowed because of heavy rain. the staff did not bother to tell newarrivals that swimming was not possible, they are also arrogant, very unhelpful and rude. We came to Pula on a spur of the moment without knowing anything about it, and came away having very much enjoyed our time, and a lot of that was because of our stay at Youth Hostel Pula. The pebble beach - practically a private beach - was beautiful, and we loved the outdoor covered tables area with music and a drinks bar open late. We felt very safe here because of the location just a short walking distance from town, and the number of families and young people. Hope to visit again! Alice, from USA ~ 31st Jul 2009
