Pajamas' lobby is as pretty as in pictures. But that is pretty much its only good point. The staff isn't bad, but you can never find them. Everything, from toilet paper to towel, I had to get with other travelers who helped me. Once, a newcomer knocked on my room asking for help to find his room. On the last day, we had to wake up the only staff present at 10h to get our key deposit back. Finally, the bathroom of dbl bed room floods a bit when it rains, but gets smelly if you open the drain.

Staff holds regular exclusive house parties with their non-backpacker friends who freely uses hostel facilities, and it seemed like i was intruding, though i paid for my stay. The aircon auto shuts itself off at 6am, even upon repeated advanced requests to keep it on till 10am (which staff confirmed by right it's kept on until 10am). i woke up to a stuffy basement room at 630-830am for 3 days, with faulty air-vent & no aircon & no fan. there are still one or two friendly guy staffs, though.

Great place to stay in Taipei ! 3 mins walk to MRT and 5 mins walk to Shida Night Market. Rooms are very clean. The only thing is that the shower is either too hot or too cold...don't know why...Maybe I didn't find the correct way to use it... Yu, from China ~ 18th Jul 2011

The Cats Pajamas is an excellent hostel, and I would proudly return there if I have the opportunity to in the future. The bathrooms are large and clean, and the lack of weird odors (re: feet) made me feel very comfortable. This is a very fun hostel with a good amount of design and planning put into how it currently looks today. The only complaint I have, and it is directed more towards Taipei in general, is public transportation.Frankly, the buses confused me.There is very easy access to the su Conrad, from USA ~ 9th Jun 2011
