Salvador (420 km):
Take the BR 324 to Feira de Santana (110 km double track, in reasonable condition); Feira de Santana, take the southbound BR116: 67 km (holes and large movement) to Argoim / Rafael Jamberoo, and before the bridge Paraguau River, turn right on BR242, follow for 82 km (good condition) to Itaberaba (good footing in the city roundabout, just after the post road: Tour St. Helena and steakhouse own roundabout). From Itaberaba are more than 90 km, with some parts pitted, to the left to access Andara (BA142). It is 50 km to Andara, with some shallow holes, mainly between 25 km and 35 km. Soon after the long and narrow bridge over the Rio San Antonio (4 km before Andara), be sure to stop at the kiosk of Finance Marimbus for a refreshing sugar cane juice, coconut ice cream, jams, honey, salt and artesanado (try esfiha cactus - cactus typical of the region - roasted in a wood oven).
