La recepción está abierta las 24 horas, para seguridad y conveniencia de los huéspedes, pueden registrarse en el hostal en el mismo momento en que lleguen a Edimburgo. Nuestra localización entre el casco antiguo y la parte nueva de la ciudad proporciona a nuestros clientes no sólo cercanía a los principales monumentos y atracciones turísticas, sino tambien a las mejores tiendas, restaurantes, bares y discotecas de la ciudad.
Ofertamos limpios dormitorios privados (para personas solas o grupos) que den a nuestros huéspedes un servicio de alojamiento de calidad. Tenemos 220 camas disponibles para estancias cortas, y de forma adicional ofrecemos más de 50 camas para estancias largas.
Nuestro bar tiene un gran ambiente, bebidas baratas y abre hasta las 05.00 (los fines de semana). Cuenta con mesas de billar y música en directo. Las instalaciones también incluyen salas de televisión, duchas de agua caliente, cocinas muy bien equipadas, acceso a internet y servicio de lavandería.
Boasting superb views of Edinburgh Castle, Caledonian Backpackers is perfectly located within walking distance of the main bus and train stations and with an airport bus stop only a few steps away. Our location between the old and the new towns means that guests are within walking distance not only of Edinburgh's main tourist attractions, but also all the best shops, restaurants, pubs and clubs.
We are a colourful property with dormitories and private rooms, and we welcome long and short-term stays.
We have both mixed and female-only dorms. Our rooms feature keycards for extra security, as well as in-room lockers - if you forget your own padlock, we sell them at reception, too. Linen and breakfast are included in the rates.
Facilities on offer include TV rooms, kitchens, Internet and Wi-Fi, beanbag cinema room, vending machines, free book swap, laundry services and a licensed bar which offers cheap drinks, live music, Wii and pool until the early morning.
We have a safe at reception as well if you'd like to store your passport or laptop. You're welcome to leave your luggage in our storage room after check-out while you wait for your flight/bus/train.
For you late sleepers, we serve breakfast until noon!
Please note that we do not permit guests under the age of 18.
We operate a 24-hour reception and we do not have a curfew. Check-out: 12:00 (midday). We do not accept guests under the age of 18. This is a non-smoking property. Photographic identification must be presented at check-in.

I only stayed for one night in a 4 bed dorm. The hostel felt clean. Although I didn't use the facilities that much I found the bar to be nice. The girl at check-in was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was toast, jam and butter. However, they also offered yoghurt and fruit salad, along with coffee, tea and orange drink. The Wifi didn't work for me but I can't tell whether it was due to my phone, and I spent the whole day in the city, slept and checked out early. Overall, a recommendation.
