DESCRIPTION
Summer Hostels is the premiere destination for fun, affordable accommodations during the Festival. We have three buildings in downtown Edinburgh - check out our Facebook page for photographs and discounts to see which location is right for you!
Nestled in the beautiful neighborhood of Canonmills, Beaverbank offers clean rooms filled with natural light and stylish furnishings. It is a 10-minute walk from the east end of Prince Street and a 25-minute walk from Edinburgh Castle. There is a free shuttle service every hour from 11am to 10pm to George Square (the center of the festival). For those travelling by car, parking is available in an indoor garage for �5 a day.
All of the rooms are ensuite (private bathroom for each room) with 3/4 double beds and electronic door locks. Each flat has a fully stocked gourmet kitchen and a large living room. Building amenities include a public roof terrace, coin-operated laundry, and bicycle storage. Free internet is available in each room, but please note that it is wired (ethernet cords are provided).

Check-out time is 11am. We have 24-hour reception, but please notify us in advance if you have a late check-in after 10pm. Reservations can be adjusted or cancelled without penalty 7 days prior to your check-in date. Please note that no changes can be made within 7 days of your check-in date, as you will be responsible for the full cost of the reservation. Linens are provided free of charge, and towel rentals are available for �5. Storage lockers are available for free, but please remember to bring your own lock.
Beaverbank is open from July 27 to August 31 this summer.
ROOM OPTIONS
The building is open from July 27, 2013 to August 31, 2013 this summer. All bedrooms have one 3/4 double bed, are en suite, with a private bathroom containing a shower (no bath), sink, and toilet.
- private bedroom (single): for 1 person, w/ private bathroom
- private bedroom (double): for 2 people, w/ private bathroom
- 4-bedroom flat: private flat w/ 4 bedrooms for up to 8 guests
- 5-bedroom flat: private flat w/ 5 bedrooms for up to 10 guests
- 6-bedroom flat: private flat w/ 6 bedrooms for up to 12 guests
Smoking is strictly forbidden in all areas of the building. Secure Parking is available on site for £50 per week. Linen (£15) and towels (£5) are not included but can be purchased on arrival. Internet is available (£15 unlimited use) and an ethernet cable will be provided to connect. WIFI internet is available in common are and its free of charge. Payment on arrival can be made by cash or credit card. Late check in (after 6pm) is available for a £15 fee.

I never read or realized when I booked that it was a student accomodation, rent during the festival. The room was tiny, and dirty. We arrived late so we had to pay an extra amount. We were aware of that but after 6pm is not late, come on ! We suspect this amount went directly into the pocket of the person in charge. This person was not friendly at all as we were always bothering her with our questions. And make sure to pay everything by cash, or you will be charged an extra 2,5% !
