The Youth Hostel Villa Camerata in Florence, is part of the Hostelling International, association of Hostels in Italy.
The Villa containing the hostel dates from the 15th century and is within a huge green park. But that's not all. The garden that surrounds it is a very precious botanical garden containing rare and unusual essences of vegetables, patiently cared for by the elderly owner.
You will never forget a vacation spent in Firenze, a base for discovering this splendid Tuscan provincial center - a city rich with elegant architectural form, a pleasure for all to take in.
The hostel offers guests a full calendar of cultural events. The Uffizi Gallery, Piazza della Signoria and the other classic Florentine places are all easily reachable by public transit.
Please note, if you are not a Member of Hostelling International you have to pay 2 Euro to get your international membership card.
Please note, rooms are closed between 10.00 a.m. and 2 p.m. In the hostel there are no lockers for baggage.
The hostel offers various possibilities of accommodation: from the classic bed in a 4 beds dorm in separate males and females sections to single, twin, double, triple and quad private rooms with or without bathroom. We also have double or single rooms with bathroom in our camping or much space outdoor if you are well equipped.

Lo mas destacable de este hostel es que esta rodeado de naturaleza, bellos jardines lo rodean y esta alejado de la ciudad, por lo tanto es muy recomendable para aquellos que buscan un lugar tranquilo y de descanso. Laura Mercedes, from Argentina ~ 10th Jun 2013

The hostel is atleast a 25 minute bus ride from the main train station. But getting to the required bus stop is not the issue. There's a 15 minute hike from there to the hostel. If you're traveling alone, especially a girl, then you will be in a bit of trouble. We were in a group and walking at night in a new city through the wilderness is not something we enjoyed. But the hostel itself was a beautiful palace (not very well maintained) but definitely something special. Unlike every other hostel Hamid Mohammed, from Pakistan ~ 8th Apr 2013
