This newly refurbished hostel reopened in January 2012 after extensive renovations. With 20 years experience in the hostel business, we know how to look after our guests!
Our multi-award-winning hostel is located in the heart of the city centre, on the corner of Eyre Square.
Whether you’re visiting Galway on your own or as part of a group, you’ll feel perfectly at home in Kinlay!
Please note that large groups may be required to pay a security deposit upon check-in. This deposit is fully refundable upon checkout once all house rules and other guests have been respected.
All the day tours depart from right outside the front door.
Lounge in the brand-new chill-out zone, use the free Wi-Fi internet connection or relax in customized private rooms or in the spacious dormitories, many of which offer panoramic views of Galway Bay.
Be part of the relaxed and friendly atmosphere in the large open plan lounge area, tv/dvd room (with a selection of movies and games!) and take advantage of the two fully equipped self-catering kitchens.
Our friendly, helpful, well-travelled and multilingual staff are happy to provide any information you may require i.e local knowledge/hotspots, dining out, bus/train timetables, local events and even the weather forecast!

Great place to stay in Galway. Sure, you're not go there if you want a quiet night. The location is in the earth of Galway, everything is near you. The free water bottles are a great great point, really appreciate. One bad point is, no towel included (need to rent or buy one) and shower is a bit dirty (and water not very warm, cold often came) Staff is nice. Cyril, from France ~ 12th Jun 2013
