Its really very far from the center - about 7 minutes Subway ride (very good connection), but a 15 min walk from the subway station through anonymous suburbian area. But once you found the hostel (ground floor of an appartment house) it feels like an ordinary hostel with nice rooms, good personal. The rooms are rebuild appartments, therefore 3 rooms share common bath facilites which are very clean and nice. These "appartments" have a special door which is usually locked. Great hostel. My friend and I got a private with fridge, TV, and very comfortable beds for a steal. It\'s not in the middle of Hamburg\'s action, but surrounded by housing complexes, so it\'s peaceful if not ideal for those who want to party. My main criticism is their lack of garbage cans. There was neither one in our room nor the bathroom. Also there was no hand soap in any bathrooms! They lose points for cleanliness there. A Lidl is conveniently located right around the corner.
