Crammed with art pieces and curios collected from across the Asian countries, Bambu is a world away from your average travellers hostel. Carved from within an old warehouse in the City's main entertainment precinct, our boutique lodge is in the middle of the biggest collection of bars, cafes, and restaurants in the state, and just a few minutes walk to the Perth city centre, art galleries, libraries and the Swan River.

High on fun, low on price...
That means you get free breakfasts, hot drinks all day, $1 pool tables, $2 DVD rental, and unlimited WiFi for a single $5 fee no matter how long you stay.

In summer jump on the 40 person bambu boat for balmy evening fishing trips, or an overnight stay at Rottnest Island for less than the cost of a ferry ticket.

The location is really nice. The place is cool but it\'s full of homogeneous drunk surfers. Rooms are dirty because people stay here for long and they\'re not clean between guests. Kitchen is too small. Staff is friendly (depends who). Breakfast could be better.
Samuel - your comments are completely misleading, there are no more 'surfers' here than any other hostel (in fact we havent had a surfboard here for many months). Our guests are mainly european or north american, rooms are cleaned twice per week, and the staff do their best to keep them clean despite the fact the hostel is 100% booked out most days because our guests ENJOY the place! And the kitchen is huge by most local standards! Yes breakfast could be better, instead of cereal, toast and jam and tea and coffee, we could have eggs benedict and caviar, but alas economics does not allow this when your paying $25 per night for a bed! the place itself is fairly old and run down and when i was there it was a bit dirty, but it was right smack in the middle of town, location couldnt be any better if going out in northbridge is what your after. at the end of the day, as a backpacker, its comfortable and you meet a heap of new people. if ur happy to rough it a little then its great, u\'ll love this place, if a little more comfort and luxury is what ur after then this or most backpackers is not really for you anyway. staff=excellen Andrew, from Australia ~ 24th Jan 2012
