Located in the heart of Pula\'s center and at the famous Pula waterfront (Riva), we are also just a few steps away from the historic Forum and rustic Kandlerova Street, which boasts some of the most impressive Roman architecture in Croatia, as well as a variety of cafes, bars, and shops. Pula\'s breathtaking Amphitheater (\"Arena\") is a mere five-minute walk from Riva Hostel, and all of Pula\'s main attractions are within proximate walking distance.
We are also very close to Pula\'s bus and train stations, and the arriving terminal for all boats and ferries is less than a minute walk to where we are located on the waterfront - quite useful should you be taking a ferry out of Pula to the south Croatian coast early in the morning!
Building upon an already established and highly successful hostel business, our main mission is to make your holiday in Pula as comfortable, relaxing, and fun as possible. Our staff is energetic and highly dedicated to the needs of each and every guest. It is our firm belief that going this extra mile is what makes a hostel experience above average, and takes at least some of the stress out of traveling and spending time in a foreign country! We want you to feel at home in our hostel.
Located inside a quiet Austro-Hungarian courtyard building, our newly-renovated space consists of 4 large and spacious sleeping rooms with tall ceilings, a common area with TV, free internet computer station and wi-fi throughout the property.
Two of the rooms have their own newly renovated bathrooms with spacious shower stalls.
There is a large kitchen available for use, stocked with breakfast items, stove, microwave, large refridgerators, toaster, pots and pans, plates, cups and glasses etc.
We are equipped with brand new facilities, including fresh linens, air conditioning, security lockers, free internet use + WIFI access, laundry service, a spacious kitchen area, TV and DVD access, and many other state-of-the-art features that we deem imperative for a modern and convenient hostel experience.
The building itself is a newly renovated Austo-Hungarian building with very tall ceilings, which make it perfect for sleeping comfortably with more people in the room! Every room has its own AC unit. Located inside a quiet courtyard, the commotion and traffic outside is not heard at all, while being so close to the center of everything should make your stay with us extremely enjoyable and convenient!
Each member of our three-person staff has had extensive experience with travel in his/her life. We are all more than happy to share our experiences, recommend travel ideas, provide useful information, and help you clarify and plan the remainder of your travels.

Now for some ground rules:::
1) Check-out is at 11am, as our scheduled cleaning time is from 10am-2pm (14h) every day of the week. During this cleaning time, we kindly ask that the hostel be vacant.
If you would like to leave your bags and other personal items on hold with us after you check out, please ask us in advance.
2) Check in is open all day, but if you are running late or arriving earlier than the arrival time that you had given us either in your confirmation e-mail or online booking, please inform us as soon as possible via e-mail, text message, or phone call!
3) If you do not inform us of your late arrival and are a no-show 4+ hours after your scheduled arrival time, we will have no choice but to cancel your reservation.
4) No drugs are permitted inside or in the outside seating area of the hostel. Guests may smoke tobacco cigarettes in the outside area. We also ask that alcohol consumption be kept to a minimum in the hostel, out of respect to our neighbors.
5) There is no curfew--guests have their own keys and the freedom to come and go as they please. We only request that you enter and leave the hostel as QUIETLY as possible, particularly during the night, so as not to disturb other residents in our building.
Guests are not permitted to bring outside visitors into the hostel area at any time--for obvious safety reasons, anyone who is not accounted for by our staff is not allowed to be in the hostel area. Any guest who breaks this rule will run the risk of losing his/her reservation at the hostel and may be asked to leave.

We are located at the left end of Pula's waterfront/harbor, street name is Riva and our street number is #2. Hostel is across the street to the main Uljanik shipyard entrance.

If you are arriving to Pula via airplane, the most convenient way to reach us from the airport is by taxi. We highly recommend this.
The price ranges from 100-120kn, and you will be brought directly to our door.
Just let the driver know you are giong to the Pula waterfront, address Riva 2 in front of Uljanik shipyard.
If you are arriving by bus, you may walk, it is very simple and not far at all (about 1 km)
Exit the bus station on the left,
follow the road to the left, around the roundabout towards the waterfront.
Stay on Riva st., pass the ACI Yacht club on your right.
We are on the left side of the street another 100m, address Riva 2.
If you are arriving by train, you may also walk, it is very simple and not far at all (about 1 km as well)
Walk out of the station and take a right down the street about 300m.
You will come to a major intersection where Pula Amphitheatre will be visible straight ahead.
Make a right, after 50m you will arrive at the waterfront harbor
Keep walking along the harbor another 500m, cross the street so that you are walking on the left.
We are on the left side of the street another 100m, address Riva 2.
If you are driving
When you enter Pula, you will look for signs to the center.
This will take you to a main city roundabout (rotary)
Follot the roundabout towards the harbor waterfront
Drive along the waterfront
As you are arriving to the end of the harbor, you will see a sign Uljanik for a shipyard entrance
Pull over to the right, so that you can get your luggage emtied out of your vehicle, we will help you park your car when you arrive and let us know you are here!
There is a buzzer at the door with Hostel Riva displayed, please ring the buzzer and walk straight through the hallway and another set of doors into our backyard, entrance is on the left.

Late/Early check in needs to be completed between 9am and midnight!
Making noise with very late/early check-in is not acceptable, so we need to make sure everyone is checked in before midnight at the latest, and 9am at the earliest.
Hostel is being cleaned every day from 11am to 2pm. If you arrive before 2pm, you are welcome to leave your bags, but please be back at 2pm for regular check-in.
Earliest arrival is at 9am, please do not expect to be let in before this time!
