Located in the best zone of Punta Hermosa at only one block from the beach and Main Boulevard, in a safe and clean area with restaurants and stores. Our nice terrace with BBQ and plays for your relax; offer an ocean view of "La Isla".

OVERVIEW

Punta Hermosa Surf Property is a warm and friendly guesthouse that welcomes travelers from all over the world. We are the first Surf Property concept in Peru, with the facilities of a good property and the simplicity of a good surfcamp.

The Surf Property is run by family owners who will make you feel at home all the time. We offer comfortable, clean and safe rooms with private bathroom or not. Guests can relax in our chill out room; complete with comfy sofas, cable TV, books area, or catch up with friends and family over the free internet. Wi-Fi access is also available throughout the property.

We have a communal kitchen, where guests can make themselves a hearty meal or quick snack. Also, we can offer for you full meals include for a good price; see for this alternative at the property, minimum 2 guests.

Around our Surf Property and in a short distance by walk you can find more than 20 spots for good surf. Lefts and rights, hollows, big or small, long or short everything depends on waves and your desire to surf. Or only walk one block with your towel and take a sit, relax and take a sunbath in our clean "Playa Blanca or Playa Negra" beaches.

THE WAVES

Punta Hermosa is a great area for a surfer to find himself in, as there are ample consistent spots within walking distance of each other. In the southern hemisphere winter, the waves around Punta Hermosa are typically big. While a lot of the headlands favor the rights waves, there are also hollow lefts, plus a few offshore winds that handle serious size and power.

The most important waves are "La Isla" a reef peak, good right, power and long. "El Paso" reef peak, power and hollow tube right with a very good left section too. These waves break in front of the Surf Hostel.

Twenty minutes by walk break "Señoritas" with left power and sometimes hollow tube while "Caballeros" produce longer, fatter rights. At only 1 km. from the Surf Hostel, "Punta Rocas" is by far the most consistent wave that breaks all year round. These waves have been qualified as Internationals Championships Spots in the last years.

The dominant swell is S-SW, the swell size average from November to May is 3-4ft and from June to October is 5-6ft, with a consistency of 70% on summer and 80% on winter. The dominant wind is SE-S, with an average force F3. The water temperature on summer (Dec-Apr) goes from 62-68f and on winter (Jun-Oct) goes from 57-61f. Wetsuit is necessary.

Punta Hermosa is considered one of the best beaches in Peru for relax and surf adventures. Located at only 45 km / 30 miles (45 minutes by car) south of Lima, the capital city of Peru, easy to go by taxis or buses. Punta Hermosa is a small beach town, very popular on summer weekends and year by year better, clean, safe and friendly with good restaurants and discos on summer (December - May) and with quiet and friendly environment on winter (June-November). Not really cold, just a jacket needed.
