Welcome to the cosiest and most welcoming hostel in Shanghai!

If you want to immerse yourself into local culture here in Shanghai, Blue Mountain LuWan is the place to be! We've become one of the best hostels in Shanghai over the last three years!

Located right in the city centre, we're also just across the street from the metro, connecting you to pretty much everywhere in Shanghai.

We offer clean, 24-hour hot water, air-conditioning and comfortable and soft beds in a cosy atmosphere. Our friendly and helpful staff have loads of information and tips to make your travel in Shanghai and China a truly wonderful experience.

Our common room has free Internet access, free movies, free books, a bar, a pool table, darts, and a cosy fireplace to relax next to while you meet your fellow travellers. Don't forget to check out our pair of antique "shi-fu-men" doors hanging on the wall - they're hundreds of years old!

The double bed private rooms with shared bathroom in our hostel have no windows. Unfortunately, for visitors booking multiple beds, we cant guarantee allocation of dorm beds in same room . Our bar opens from 8am to 1am during weekdays, and 8am to 2am during weekends. No outside food and beverage allowed in the bar. Thanks for understanding!

Still a good hostel for me for what I do in Shanghai. This time around was about the same-though the hostel was under some construction and the workers were smoking a lot. That was the bad part to wake up to in the morning and through the door I can smell smoke. But once the hostel is done with its renovation, it will be fine. Overall still a good hostel, good location, subway across the street and a wonderful place for noodles next door to the hostel. Victor, from USA ~ 2nd Jan 2012

I felt safe knowing that the hostel was so close to a subway stop.If you don't know any Chinese, it makes it easier for taxi drivers to find it if you're stranded.(Subways close early.) Anyone can walk into the hostel, but Shanghai's pretty safe so I didn't worry about it too much.My room was clean and I liked the hostel's cozy decor.The internet was a bit slow.There's a washer and dryer!It's easy to get to know people.I asked so many questions and the staff was nice, thank you!
