Cedar Hill Lodge en Shimla, India

Our lodge sits perched on a 8200 ft. hilltop which was once an apple orchard and lies in the lap of the Middle Himalayas. This place is ideal for hikers, photographers, writers and for people looking to seep in nature or just fill the body, mind and soul with a positive energy through meditation, yoga or simply just being yourself.

Cedar Hill Lodge is registered under the Himachal Homestay Tourism initiative provided by the state to provide a genuine experience to travelers: a hygienic, comfortable stay with Homestay owners like us, who can provide you with an authentic experience based on your requirements for a holiday.

All individual rooms have individual access so guest privacy is not effected. Guests are welcome to join us for early morning walks and meditation free of charge.

We're in a tiny village named Chharabra, which is mostly a pit-stop for foodies heading towards the popular sightseeing option of Kufri.

We provides a small menu for meals (veg and non-veg), candlelight dinners; heaters in winters, thermos tea/coffee for night, emergency lights, toiletries and fresh linen in rooms. We provide travel assistance, internet access, taxi bookings, and holiday packages for other areas in Himachal Pradesh also.

What we don't have are telephones in room, electricity back-up, kids' play rides or activities, elevators or air conditioning/fans in the rooms. We do not allow loud music in the parking area.

Our 13x10ft Standard Deluxe room is for two adults and has twin beds.
One of our Family Suites has a main double room connected to a smaller bedroom. This suite sleeps three adults. The other Family Suite has two double rooms connected with a spacious verandah. Extra beds can be provided for this suite and it sleeps up to four adults. Our two twin rooms have a connecting veranda of 26x5ft.

We serve breakfast at 8.30am and dinner is served until 10pm. We're equipped to provide you a homecooked menu; breakfast and dinner on the purchase of a package/booking. We hire cooks and purchase fresh rations, keeping with demand and our food and beverage service is provided for our customers. The choice of food is from simple Italian dishes, Chinese, Indian.

We also provide a menu from a nearby restaurant two minute's walk from here. It's the hot spot for all sightseeing tourists for all meals during the day.
