The Elk Hotel is a superb example of 19th century hotel architecture. Visitors can step back in time to an era when the main lighting system was sunlight. Sutton being a county set town is on the Elk river and in home to Sutton Dam.
There is everything an adventurer or a sportsman could dream of, such as hunting, fishing, canoeing, bicycling, archery, and picnicking, just to name a few. We are currently renovating the hotel to preserve its historical significance .
Sutton's activities are not limited to Spring and Summer. Sutton has a Fall Festival which is adult and child friendly with activities to ensure that everyone has a great time. Also this time of year the Elk Hotel becomes the Haunted Hotel with spooks and goblins galore. This is something that everyone enjoys.
