The DC Hostel provides its guests with clean, comfortable dormitory rooms for international students and interns in Washington DC. We are also conveniently situated by the subway!

We offer free wireless internet, free public computers, spacious lounges and gourmet kitchens.

Our building is designed to encourage interaction among our guests as much as possible. Our rooms (separated by gender) are shared, as are the bathroom facilities, kitchens, and living rooms. Note that privacy is limited, so if you're relatively shy, you may want to consider other options.

We have rooms with four bunks, six bunks and eight bunks. There are female-only, male-only, and co-ed bunks. The bunks are assigned based on a first-come first-serve basis.

Hostelworld allows you to make reservations in advance to arrange your booking over the internet. All you need is a credit card and a computer. In addition, we have 24-hour email and phone support, and our friendly staff are always available to answer your questions and to help get you settled into the big city.

All of our students have access to shared kitchens and a full bathroom on every floor. The bunk beds are a twin-size. Each student receives a locker about the size of a large microwave for their personal belongings. The student will be able to lock their personal belongings but will be responsible for providing a lock.

All of our room options include a free phone for guests, free HBO and Wii on our flat-screen TV and free towels and linens. There’s also laundry facilities.

Simply take the metro from the Georgia-Avenue Petworth station, and you can get to any of Washington DC's great sites (Capitol Hill, White House) within 10 minutes.

Short-term reservations are subject to a sales tax of 14.50% in Washington DC for credit card and cash transactions. Deposits are excluded from the taxable total. Please note that in order to qualify for the student rate, you must present a university ID and a passport.
