not many people staying in the hostel when i was there but otherwise, hostel is good, very cold in the communal room but luckily on my last night they put the log burner on! Also cold in the morning but luckily there is a very lovely duvet and a blanket to keep you warm! Not far from town, around 15/20mns walk.

The hostel was cold in the morning and at night. The shared TV area in particular could have done with a heater. Otherwise it is a good place to stay, really close to restaurants and the train station.

Staff was really helpful. A few annoying drunken men, but good overall!
La Chimba is a pretty cool place... I can now say thanks for all hopes that staff of La Chimba give to our standing in Santiago

What a great hostel! The staff are so friendly and helpful {thanks Rodrigo}, the facilities are great, the breakfast is nice and the atmosphere couldnt be beaten. We made many new friends and will definitely be back to visit one day!
