-We didn't expect it to be a senior's residence. -Room was stuffy and smelly. -Bathrooms are very "hospital like" -Lift and hallway smells. -Expensive and far from downtown -Receptionist was rude when we asked for a refund. -I would recommend New College Residence -Also recommend priceline, 50 bucks a night for a 5 star hotel!

The hostel is located in a retirement home. They have several rooms (own bathroom + kitchen) which is part of the hostel. Free internet + computer.

This place was great although a little bit odd at first it is a joint halls of residence and a retirement home!!!! Once you get used to the zimmer frames and odd looks it is actually a pretty good place to stay. I was travelling alone and felt very safe here. It is right next to the subway so it was perfect for coming home late without fear of being a lone women in the city. The breakfast was satisfying, juice bagels, eggs sometimes bacon sometimes waffles, danishes. It was safe clean secure the only down side would be that the shower was brilliantly clean although the rooms were. As it is student halls and old people there is not much in the way of meeting people. However the staff on reception were very helpful!!!

Very nice rooftop patio if you can get out at night and see the Cn tower light up. FYI - Building is also an old age home so I hope old senile people don't freak you out.
