There was never anyone there, no cooking at their restuarant, and our bungalow was never cleaned in the 5 days that we were there. At the very end all they waited for was their money, and did nothing for it.

Really loved my stay. Great staff, excellent food, and friendly owners. As stated in the description, these bungalows are not on Lonely Beach, but the walk is not far, and if you are looking for a quiet, comfortable, and friendly stay in Koh Chang, I highly recommend Bailan Family Bungalows. Thanks for a good stay David and staff. Hope to see you all again someday.

VERY basic accomodation. We've stayed in many different hostels/bungalows/huts of all sorts before and I'm sorry to say this just didn't cut it. Even at this level you expect a few things like netting on the windows and maybe paved shower. As a result the place CRAWLED. So if you're a bug lover, no worries, if not I'd give it a miss. The staff were very friendly and understood when we changed 7 nights into 1 with no hassle. The area is really pretty average too. No shops/ATM etc for basics and only 1-2 restaurants in easy walking distance. The beach is very rocky with onlya tinybit of sand. If you wanted a bit more happening and a FAR superior beach, lonely beach is only 5 mins north and MUCH better. Or for another really quiet spot with better facilities try Had Kai Mook, further north agan.
