Clean with all the necessary facilities and helpful staff and plenty of information about Tokyo and surrounding areas. Double room much more like a hotel than a hostel. Would definitely recommend.

Oak Hotel is a decent place to stay in the Asakusa area. It\'s tucked away off the main street so it\'s tough to find. The staff are all very friendly and the free coin lockers in the lobby are super handy. There\'s not much of a scene at the hostel but their bulletin board posts cool attractions around the area. Even though Oak Hotel was a decent place, it\'s not more than average. Next time I\'d opt for a hostel with a higher fun rating and a better location.

The staff was incredibly helpful, even leaving me a note on my bed one day with a proposed itinerary I had asked about earlier. They went out of their way to be helpful. The hostel was great and I absolutely stay there again. The only things to know are that the common area is very small and so it\'s hard to meet people, and the kitchen is very small so it\'s hard to cook...if these are important to you.
