Given that Conwy is a stunningly beautiful walled castle town with majestic views from the towers (free from the tower in the wall) it demands an overnight stay, and this hostel comfortably fits that purpose. Treat an encumbered walk up the hill from the town/station to the hostel as a rite of passage. Tightly backed bunk beds offset by the extra security of lockers. They provide a good breakfast as an extra cost. Interestingly, on my previous visit to Conwy in the winter of 1999 the fog was such that I could see the Irish sea, so I was suprised it was there this summer.

Would recommend this place to other hostellers. The walk from the train station when you've got a heavy backpack seems to take forever (uphill about 20 minutes) but its not too far from the city centre or the castle. tv room is good for socialising, good facilities. recommended.

The view from this hostel is beautiful! It is located on a hill overlooking the town and castle of Conwy. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hostel. Conwy is great!

pretty close to the castle...a bit of a trek up a little hill, but nothing too drastic...the beds were a little hard, but the staff were wonderful and the view from the cafeteria was amazing! will stay again next time i'm in conwy.
