This was a sad welcome to Senegal. The bed was full of bed bugs and the staff unecomodating in finding us a new room. Instead we were told to either stay with the bed bugs or go and find somewhere else. We lost our deposit as we decided against the bed bugs which had already sucked on us profusly after a one hour recovery map on our jet lagged arrival. Not the friendliest of options, leaving us walking around at dusk with two big backpacks on the streets of Dakar in search of limited accommodation which took us well into the night. We nearly got robbed in the process due to our vonrability. Not sure how one justifies doing something like that to a couple of 'green' non-French speaking tourists on their first day in West Africa...

Staff was, on the whole, very accommodating to our schedule/reservation changes. The hotel's public areas (lobby, restaurant) have been or are getting renovated, but our room was getting quite tired. The mattresses and pillows were getting old, lumpy and uncomfortable. We felt safe there, but also noticed the hotel seemed to welcome short-term/hourly registrations for men with prosititutes.

The hotel is near the city center and the staff is very kind...it's not very expensive and is clean also can feel safe in the hotel.

this is a nice **clean** hotel with air con, private bathrooms and satellite TV. the location cant be beat, we were very happy.
