The price online is not the price you pay! they tried to charge us an extra 10dlls per night! Stay away from here they will rip you off...no hot water one day, and no water at all the next day. The rooms were freezing cold and there is not heater. The building has six floors and no lift. I would highly recomend that you stay out of this hotel!

Warning: Now the Hanoi Queen 2 - So the Lonley Planet warns you of getting shaffted and guess what...the accomidation was comfortable but in their cold snap it was cold in the rooms, and the large windows are only in a few rooms and the polished floors are floating floors.the breakfast was nice. But the "brother" of the owner has another hotel and pouched us when we confirmed via email and we had them organise transfers and got taken to two other hotels before we demanded the address on the reciept. Got to the Lotus - Now known as Hanoi Queen 2, the tour desk organised our Halong Bay trip, we choose a tour and paid for it and they booked a cheaper tour and put us on it. A short phone call later and we got an extended trip on Halong Bay at no extra cost. But hey if you don't get shaffted in Vietnam you havn't experienced VN.

The Hanoi Lotus Hotel was the worst hotel I have stayed in during my trip to Asia. There is no character at all, the staff are extremely unhelpful and my room was hot and unventilated. I would not recomend anyone stay here, especially if you are new to the city.

Very good service. Our plane was 2 hours late and he waited at the airport for us. Our trip to Halong bay also worked out very well
