We had two rooms inthe hostel. Our son's room was clean and pleasant but our room was DISGUSTING with a broken wastewater pipe. It smelled HORRIBLE and I could not get the smell out of my nightgown for days afterwards. I can only hope that we did not contract a disease from that awful place/ I would urge all travellers to check the room carefully before paying and nt under anycircumstances to accept the first room on the second floor!!!

I booked an airport collection. waited 1 hour no one showed up when i got there after having to find my own way they didnt even say sorry. day staff were not heplfull or friendly in fact they were rather hostile,girl running the bar at night was nice though so ask her if you need any help.Bit quiet but its rainy season. Over all not a bad place to stay

A fantastic place to stay. My room was clean, quiet and had everything I needed. Rory and his wife and all the people who work there are really kind and helpful. The expats who are regulars there are also friendly and fun (a bit like \"Cheers\"!). The location is fantastic - right near the Royal Palace and the Riverside and overlooking a lovely park area, but close to lots of bars, cafes and restaurants. As a single, Western female I felt safe and comfortable being in the area and in the guesthouse/pub. I have no idea where the "sex-tourist" review came. I would definitely go back and give it my full recommendation.

The maintenance of the rooms were very poor. The owner drinks and the cleaness is neglected. The towels had better days long time ago. First few nights I had a reasonable room, next time fortunately one night and the room was dark and had window from the common way, the A/C didn't work and the staff didn't care.

great place, but not good for rainy season since the flooded waters on the street make it hard to get to the pub. but otherwise, highly recommended!
