The location was the only drawback to the Hippo, but it was a great place for a rest. Tania was wonderful and comforting and overall I would stay there again. The pool was awesome except don't bother in the winter, its tooo cold!

This is one of the best hostels we have ever stayed at! We arrived one night early unexpectedly, and even though the owners had no bookings and were planning on taking the night off, they came back and opened up the whole place just for us. We'd had an exhausting day, and when Herman showed us the comfy tv room, computer, kitchen, pool, and a fridge full of cold drinks, we thought we were in heaven. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended!
