It's very utilitarian. If you're looking for a good place to stay in the heart of Shinjuku, which makes it convenient for going out and not having to wait for first train at 5 AM, this is the place! (I walked from Shinjuku Stn. to Ace Inn in about 30 min.) Staff is excellent!

great location in tokyo, very close to everything! huge dorm though 28 beds makes for a loud evening with everyone coming and going. earplugs are a good idea!

I had a great time at this hostel and I would highly recommend it. It's easy to get to wherever you need to go and the staff is very helpful and will give you any directions or guidance you might need.
Free Internet was excellent. Very nice showers / free towels.

This hostel far surpassed my@expectations. The beds were nice; the showers were clean, the staff was super friendly and helpful. It`s not right in shinjuku (2 subway stops away, which takes about 3 minutes), so you need to either take a cab or plan on being home by midnight. Other than that one point though, it`s great. Someone previously mentioned having to pay 100yen for the shower, which is true. It`s not a lot of money at all and it keeps there from being any lines. I plan on staying there as I come back through tokyo at the end of my trip.
