We had the same experience as the other people who commented. We got to a nice brick house in a nice neighborhood, then the owner asked us if we'd like to move to a hotel closer to downtown for the same price. I sense a trend...if you book this hostel, there's a good chance you won't actually stay there. The replacement hotel was adequate, not great. Clean enough.

When we arrived we were double booked but the staff were very friendly and paid for a cab for us to the Dundas Square Hotel which was in a better location and nearer town centre and had a private bathroom so can't really comment on the Wellesley Guest House - sorry
