I was looked after very well by ombeni and his family, I couldn't have asked for more. I was only there for two nights but I felt like I was there for longer as I felt so comfortable. I will certainly go back there again the next time I travel to Tanzania.

This location is not at all near the base of Kilimanjaro in the sense of being close to Moshi the real town close to the mountain. It is more like a compound and a guesthouse, not a hostel. The manager then dragged me into a police station to testify that i had paid for my kili expedition because he didn't get his cut from the outfitter he sent me too. I did not want to but he had my valueables locked inside his "compound" which was 21 km away from anything and everything. I did not at all feel comfortable with that situation. Being there a week in all i was the only guest there the whole time. His info is very misleading. I would recommend staying in Moshi. Don't stay in Boma.It is in the middle of no where.

Finding a hostel is hard for Kilimanjaro & this hostel is quiet & relaxed in comparison with Arousha. It is easier to access than Arousha from Kilimanjaro airport & the Manager Ombeni is a good host who serves his clients well.
