Naga House is situated near Phuket old town, which is about a 20min walk to get to. Unless there happens to be a night market (literally next to Naga House) then there really isn't much near it. We found that almost all taxis hadn't heard of this accommodation! The room itself was a great size and very clean. The best thing was the staff, Pon especially was extremely helpful to us in planning our journey onwards to the islands and even helped us book our next accommodation!!

Unfortunately the person who wrote the web site description for this place was not on this earth when describing it as 'centrally located' 3 times in the description when it's a 30min walk to the old town. Clean place, but not impressed by how description translates to reality. Sorry.

This is a brand new place so everything was new and clean. Rooms were big, spacious, and comfortable, probably one of the best we've stayed in during our trip. However, the one huge downfall is that it's about 2km away from the centre of town (we had to pay a tuk tuk 100 baht to get there, but it should only cost 40) and not much going on in this area. Nobody knew where the place was and it was really difficult to find since there's no sign or anything. The address given is written on a smaller back road, so not obvious. The only reason we were able to find it was because we made the driver call the hostal and the staff flagged us down on the street. We had passed it a few times but because there was no sign, we didn't know it was the place. Also, the description is misleading because there was no internet or free maps given out, nor was there a common room. There is not so many things to do or see within walking distance, unless you walk about 1km to the Central Mall. The lady working at reception was very nice though. Breakfast is 50 baht per person and includes 2 pieces of toast, juice, coffe, and a plate of fruit. If you do stay here, make sure you bring the phone number. Across the street is a big sign that reads 'Asia Food Part'. Hope that helps with finding the hostal.
