staff very nice and helpful - good air con - should tell people you can get a very basic dorm for 80yuan on huangshan top below shihai hotel instead of telling the only way to sleep there is payun hotel - but still very good place. gaelle - france

Solid hostel. Our room had poor air conditioning, but the staff was very helpful and quickly provided a room with functioning AC.

The hostel was clean and comfortable, and the bar / lounge area had a balcony overlooking the old street. Definitely a good value for the money.

Very cool hostel. Huge rooms with towels and wide beds. The location is good as there are plenty of shops to buy food and drink. Right next door, on the opposite side of the street, is a great restaurant that is also cheap.

This is bar far the best hostel I have stayed at in China so far. The staff were extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. The hostel itself was very clean, modern and dry (many hotels are damp and smelly...not this one). I highly recommend this hostel and hope that they get into the Loenly Planet very soon!
