This hostel did not exist! No one in Tamarindo knew of it or had ever heard of it. We drove around for quite a long time and my downpayment was lost.

Air conditioning was advertised in the room we reserved for 2 people, but the guy told us (after we paid for 2 nights in advance at the hostel) that the air conditioning was broken due to a storm, that took place more than a week earlier. We were not able to sleep much the first night, due to the heat and humidity. We asked to have our second night´s money returned to us, so that we could stay in an air conditioned room in another hostel. We were told that we would not receive a refund for our second night´s lodging, but after 20 minutes of intense discussion, we finally received a refund of $36 on our second night (this represented the $40 minus the $4 fee we paid in advance to hostels.com).
