Don't worry about the red light district/warnings ... we had no mishaps, and the neighborhood was very interesting. Very handy to metro stop Pigalle.

Fantastic! Employees were friendly and helpful. Located near some bars, so it was a bit noisy at night with the windows open, but near a couple of tourist attractions (within 10 min walk), and metro was a block away. Showers were weak at times - our only complaint! Rooms were cleaned every day just like would be at a hotel, and breakfast was included and served in a dining room with waitresses bringing you the food. 3 computers to get on the internet.

When we arrived, we got sent up to our room, which had not been cleaned since the previous people had left. We arrived after 3pm. The second room we got was clean. Very small and very cosy. The shower capsule was like being on a spaceship. Breakfast was good-there are only about 15 seats in the small breakfast room so get there early. When we asked about staying another 2 nights the price was almost doubled. We then went elsewhere. Beware of the 2 euro visitors tax per person per night.

The hotel is located in the Pigalle area of Paris. Basically Paris\' sex shows and strip clubs are located there. It is in the north part of the city and quite far from all the main attractions like the Eiffel Tower, Champs-Ellysees, Palais de Luxembourg, the Louvre, etc. The hotel was the most expensive hotel of the entire trip and also one of the smallest. The security of the hotel is poor as you have to leave the key at the front desk whenever you leave the hostel, basically allowing anyone to grab it as sometimes the staff leave the lobby. The staff was nice overall and there was a cleaning lady daily, however there were no tvs in the room, and some strict rules like no washing clothes in the hotel.
