Staff failed to comprehend that we had already paid a desposit via the hostel world website and still wanted full charge for the room. The resident trekking guide tried to sell us trekking permits \\\"which had to be purchased from Kathmandu before we left\\\" for a cost of 2000rps each. The permits we actually brought for half the cost! Sheets on the bed containd nail clippings and numerous hairs.
