I was not told when booking that you do not receive a key to your room and that rooms are just left open. An Irish guys camera got stolen and they still think it's appropriate to leave the doors open. Food was good for value and it's good that you can leave Smugglers Coves facilities.

Not the worst hostel I've ever stayed in, but not the best either. There wasn't much to do in the hostel itself other than lie by the pool, and compared to the sister hostel Smuggler's Paradise it was a little run down. Also, there were no locks on the bedroom doors, which I really didn't like! Other than that there was nothing really objectionable about my stay, but there are much nicer hostels in close proximity.

Well, call me picky, but I don't like to book into a hotel with a big sign "Free Internet - cond. apply" and then to find it actually costs $4/h . Those old tourist-trap tricks are simply not a good style of business. Also I don't see why laundry has to cost $10 and another $10 for using the dryer. The complimentary breakfast was simple but very nice. Concerning the dinner I must say that the Pizza is excellent in their restaurant. The Staff is very friendly and even the nightwatch is always in for good round of snooker if you happen to be up late. A good thing is that there is a lot of Bagpacker's near by so you will always find someone to go out. Important: Dont get talked into taking a taxi from the airport or from owntown, simply take a mini-bus for 70 cent to the nearest crossroad (just tell the driver you're going to "traveler's beach") and then you can hitchhike or take a cab for the last mile. It will save you quite some money.

Internet down, no drop off at the airport, restaurant expensive. If you don't book a tour over them, you don't get anything for free (e.g. internet, pay phone, luggage store)! For the 5 nights get one free deal, you have to book directly over them!!!). But very secure, police station nearby, and their own night guard!

Not at all located close to beautiful beaches and scenery. Ugly swimmingpool with alot of old leaves in it. Uglyer beach. Nothing to do in this place. Restaurant on groundfloor is ok. Rooms were smelly and unclean. Dont stay here more then one night, then take a bout out to the smaller Fijian island and stay at one of those.
