Ok so i really cant fault the place... it was an absolute Gem but just make sure to get to the ferry in time!

This is a great place to stay. But remember to bring food supplies with you as its very isolated. Also, it has no laundry facilities. All the staff were wonderful, apart from the manager who can be very rude. She was nice to me for most of my stay until the last day and I needed the courtesy lift to the bus stop. It appeared to be a huge inconvenience for her to do her job.

This is a very good hostel for all ages and also the dogs love it;in the miles of open space,lets you rest from the noise of Seattle.

You definitely need to take a car or bike to this hostel if your planning on exploring the island - don't rely on the free bikes - they had no brakes! and vashon is a very hilly island! However we really enjoyed just relaxing around the site, great chilled out communal atmosphere!

If you drive there, you need to add the $18.5 round trip ferry fee to the total cost. If you plan to go to Seattle during the day and come back at night, every round trip costs $18.5.
