Easy to walk to Long Street, lots of restaurants right around it, safer location than long street. Only thing--VERY cold rooms in winter!!! Was freezing at night time--no heat in our double room--was much colder than dorms, could see my breathe lying in bed!! Bring lots of warm clothes!!!

What a fantastic stay!! Location is perfectly balanced btwn central, safe & quiet. Staff is all incredibly helpful and can be a riot of a good time, particularly Mama Fefe who you may catch singing a lively song. Clean and well-maintained. Some renovations going on but nothing major and all of the main areas are totally clear. My love of the incredible city of Cape Town was tied to this great hostel (despite really bad winter weather).

Great atmosphere at this place and incredibly friendly. Romos needed a bit of work but the bar and lounge areas made up for it.
