While many of the other travellers I met at Crystal were staying long-term, I used it as a jumping off point at the beginning of the trip and travelled around the country. When it came time to leave we checked out several other places in Accra (closer to town) but we ended up back at Crystal - we knew the accommodations were decently priced and of good quality. Just as every says, Auntie and Uncle are very sweet... we didn't get to know them as well as some others did but our experience was noth

I like the place and the hostess was excellent. "Aunty" runs a well kept hostel. I would recommend that all who are going to Accra stay here. You will get the feel for daily life there.

The host and his wife treated me like family at this quaint Ghanian villa. It is more like a home than a hostel. The food was typical Ghanian and the host and his wife dote on their guests as if they are their own children. Even for those NOT on a budget , I would reccomend staying here for a taste of true Ghana.
