RECEPTION HOURS AND CHECK IN:
During opening hours between 9am and 6pm: Guests may check-in any time after 3pm during reception hours.
ARRIVING OUTSIDE OPENING HOURS:
We offer a late check in service. In consideration to other guests sharing a dorm this is only AVAILABLE FOR BOOKINGS IN PRIVATE ROOMS.
SAME NIGHT BOOKINGS:
If you have booked a room for TONIGHT and after our reception has closed, we will not know that you are coming and therefore you will not be able to get into the hostel.

We are delighted to offer a late check in service for guests arriving outside our reception hours. In consideration to other guests sharing a dorm the late arrival service is only AVAILABLE FOR BOOKINGS IN PRIVATE ROOMS. Please contact us in advance of your stay to organise this.
Same Night Bookings received after reception hours:
If you have booked a room/bed for the same night but after our reception has closed, we will not know that you are coming and therefore you will not get into the hostel. If your booking is for more than one night, please contact us immediately to advise us whether you wish to keep your booking for the remaining nights as our cancellation policy will apply to the remainder of your booking.
Cancellation Policy:
All cancellations must be received 48 hours prior to the day of arrival by email to: theoldcountryhouse@yahoo.co.nz. However, if you need to cancel your booking within the 48 hours please call us and we will try to re-sell your room and if successful there will be no cancellation fee. All non-arrivals or late cancellations that are not resold will be charged at 100% of the first night's stay.
EXTENDED CANCELLATION POLICY for Christmas & New Year Bookings:
Any cancellations must be received by email ONE WEEK PRIOR TO your arrival. Cancellations within one week and failure to arrive will be charged at 100% of your booking. However we will endeavour to re-let your room and if successful there will be no charge.
CHRISTMAS BOOKINGS:
We have a minimum stay period over Christmas and your booking MUST include the three nights of 24, 25 and 26 December otherwise your booking will not be accepted.
NEW YEAR:
We have a minimum stay period over New Year and your booking MUST include the three nights of 30 and 31 December and 1 January otherwise your booking will not be accepted.
