Camping Holidays

While it may not be everyone's perfect idea of holiday accommodation there's no doubt that camping is becoming popular again, and with good reason. Gone are the days where the only campsites were miles from civilisation (although these still exist of course!) with many of the worlds top cities having at least one site to pitch a tent and rest your head.

Once the weather starts to pick up some people get the itch to be outdoors, whether it be doing work, going for a walk or some other activity or just lazing around in the sun. A camping holiday is great for a number of reasons: you're practically always outdoors, you can pick and choose your route and change your plans as you travel, you'll bond with friends and family while making new friends along the way and of course it's great value!

Don't be fooled though, it's not all isolation and fend for yourself! Most campsites now have a full range of accommodation types and impressive facilities such as swimming pools, tennis courts, football pitches, games rooms, restaurants… and a whole lot more.

We've put together a list of some of our most popular campsites from around the world and in another feature (here) you'll find our top tips for making your camping holiday an experience to remember. And that's the thing, camping is a great experience; you're guaranteed to have numerous stories about your big (or small) adventure!
