The staff has problem speaking english. The hostel is 3 minutes walking from La Rambla. It is clean and quiet. If you want to keep your luggage after check out (12 o'clock) you will have to pay 3 euros. (I was asked to pay even for two hours). The price I've paid (38 euros per bed) is to high for a hostel. It is comparable with the price in a hotel on the same street (64 eur for a double room). I was surprised that booking on Hostels.com costs 38 eur and booking on the site was only 35.

just got back after 5 days there, actually stayed in hostel palermo, their sister one down the road. the location is literally 20metres from centre of las ramblas and metro station, so perfect location although can get loud if you want to sleep. rooms were alright, good enough. 1 or 2 staff were very friendly however the majority were often very rude. some friends were staying very near and wanted to come up and see room and we were goin to drink before went out, however the staff instantly star

Staff are very unhelpful to the point of ignoring you or just being rude. No alcohol at all allowed in the hostel and the room price is not that reasonable. Still, it is a very good location, just off Las Ramblas. i wouldn't stay here again though.

Location is perfect!! Best part of town and so close to everything. The street/ally it is in is rather picturesque also! One of the guys at the front desk should go screw himself, and breakfast was crap, but otherwise it was a good place to meet people and party!

It would be good if the staff could communicate in English. The location is perfect and this makes up for any dislikes like the rooms furnishings. We found the room very cold as well but fairly clean. Thanks.

First time to spain and I had a blast. Toast and complimentary coffee for breakfast, free internet and computers, very helpful staff. Clean bathrooms. Remember to ASK for towels, as they will not volunteer this information. I'd definitely go again, but I'd probably only stay 3 days instead of 7. Sleeping in bunkbeds with 7 other travellers gets on ones' nerves.

The location was central, but a bit difficult to find, and a tad dodgy. Still it was good value for money, the toilets and showers pleasantly clean and bright. The receptionist also checks for keys before allowing us in.
