Hostelling does not get any better than this - you're like 50 steps from il duomo, you get a huge bath towel bigger than in any hotel i've stayed in, free internet access and th computers are new and quite speedy, and laundry is very reasonably priced. Don't hesitate before booking. Excellent value for money.

I really had nothing bad to even remotely say about Academy. Great staff (funny, personable, extremely helpful) and two funny Irishmen that run a pub crawl by night, which is brilliant! In an extremely great location (two minutes from the Duomo, five from the Accademia, five from the shops) and was fairly quiet at night. Really clean bathrooms and beds, supplied lockers, reading lights (this one caught me off-guard, a portable reading light....), and towels. Had computers and a satellite tv if

The Hostel is really close to everything, (but that's not hard to do in Florence). Some of the staff are great and others not so great. It is a very new Hostel also. However, our room was not air conditioned. One of the staff said it was broken, but I didn't see any air conditioning vents or machines in the room. Anyways, that made it impossible to sleep at night, we were sweating so bad!

Academy Hostel is really fantastic. well looked after, very clean & very friendly people -just fantastic. A place where people extended their stay - just like i did. The staff are freindly and always helpful. This is a hotel not hostel.
