Loved the pool, made for a nice break on a three week trip. The dorm rooms have only one fault, the beds are covered mattresses (kinda like a water proof sheets for kids that pee the bed) and every time people shift in their beds it wakes everyone up.Bathrooms were of hotel standard and all and all I was impressed with the place. While there be sure to take the trip to the hot springs, the cheaper one was great, and with a buffet meal that every back packer will appreciate Shane, from Canada ~ 3rd Jun 2012

When I got to the Hotel I was told no reservation was ever made by Hostels.com. I had to go find myself another place to stay.. and my plans for the weekend were totally ruined. I know the problem was not there fault but I think they could have express more sympathy for my problem. But that was not the case. At all. Ricardo, from Costa Rica ~ 4th Apr 2012

OMG I love this hostel, although in fairness it hardly resembles a hostel at all.I was blown away by this hostel. On arrival the staff were awesome, friendly and welcoming and bi lingual. There is a large swimming pool, restaurant and bar, free internet and wifi, security lockers, hammocks to watch the sunset and volcano from......The rooms even have a/c and a private bathroom, heaven.I stayed in a dorm and the bed was really comfy. You really need to stay here to appreciate how great this hostel olivia, from England ~ 25th May 2012

Bills itself as s five-star hostel, but doesn't quite hit the mark. A guest kitchen and free coffee (and tea?) would earn this otherwise grand hostel a cordon bleu rosette. I'm just saying. Bernard, from USA ~ 18th Jan 2012

Great staff, Great music. Met a lot of people. Staff took us to a water fall when he got off work. Great place. Beds are noisey (haha) Brett, from USA ~ 17th Jan 2012

The hostel was okay overall, but the beds were small and uncomfortable, at least in the dorms. Ironically they have high tech keycard locks on thier dorm doors, but the big sliding windows on each room can be opened from the outside so its pointless. So unless you put something in your lockers, it could get stolen very easily, but at least they have lockers. They have a nice, but expensive food service, though you have to get thier breakfast sandwich if you go, it is amazing. Charles, from USA ~ 8th Jan 2012

Unfortunately, I did not get to stay here. After several emails back and forth, I was told our reservation would be held past the 4 pm check in time because I had alerted them to our arrival time. I have an email confirming this. Upon arrival, I learned that they had given away our reservation and were all booked at this point. However, the front desk was helpful in finding us other options, so I gave the staff a better rating. The facilities did look nice and we were disappointed not to stay. Great spot.Wonderful staff, very organized and helpful. And they really know the area, and the people, which is an awesome thing to have access to.Always ready to help.I'd go back any day.Less social in the evenings than some other hostels I have stayed in. Eric, from USA ~ 28th Dec 2011
