This was a very nice place to stay but felt like more of a small hotel/resort than a hostel. The rooms were great, spacious and clean although it took a while for our room to be ready when we arrived. The staff was friendly but a bit pushy with trying to sell you tours. They give you a welcome cocktail upon arrival and there is a small pool which is nice to cool off in. If looking for a place thats a bit more than just a regular hostel, I would recommend staying here. Laura, from Canada ~ 12th Apr 2013

It was pretty fun rubbing it in people's faces how much we paid for this hostel resort compared to their crazy expensive resort or hotel, lol. This place was a beautiful hostel and a great deal!! We loved the whole communal area. It has a nice pool with a swim up bar, good food, nice beds, a/c in the dorm, great wifi, and incredibly helpful staff!! Kevin, from USA ~ 13th Mar 2013

This was a great place to stay.La Fortuna is a sleepy little town, but the hostel does it's best to keep the energy up.The staff was great a our bar tender was amazing.Upon arrival we got a welcome drink and shown to our rooms.Also, I was very surprised that our dorm had its own bathroom.
