Brado's Backpackers in Sydney, Australia

I would NEVER EVER stay in this Hostel again. It is safe and has a good location but its disguisting to see bugs crawl over your matress! I lived in a room which had no proper windows (you couldn't open any except of one- the others just fell shut again)...the showers are all moldy - most of the showers couldn't even be locked. Terrible. Other hostels are so much better...

I'm sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your stay, I wish we could have had the opportunity to help you had we known your concerns. Unfortunately Australia is the land of creepy crawly things and bugs are found all over, there is unfortunately very little we can do because they are so sneaky and tiny and everywhere but never the less when we know about these things we do our best to help make things better for all our guests. Brado's is a work in progress, at the time of our stay it was a little bit dirty and disorganized as parts of the hostel were shut down due to renovations but i would reccommed staying here as it was fun and it will be great in the future once then reno's are finished!

Thanks for an honest and realistic review, you're certainly correct, it's a work in progress and a challenge we are tackling each day to improve the Brado's experience, it's an older building with both character and flaws and keeps us on our toes. We recently had our water pressure problem resolved with a shiny new pressure pump and the TV/Common room is looking great. We hope you are traveling well and safe and we hope you will return some day to see the improvements we are making to our home away from home hostel. :D

The staff definately is the best thing about this hostel. You can't expect much for a cheap backpacker hostel, so it needs remodelling and stuff but for a couple of nights it's ok. Bedbugs and cockroaches are common sight tho.. Mari, from Finland ~ 29th Nov 2011
