Eden House in Lisbon, Israel

We loved this hotel. The rooms are basic but they have character. The first night we slept in a room outside the main building. It was fantastic. The staff is very helpful. Negative point: I think that the price should include breakfast.

It's great you liked the room in front of the main building, as it is the most authentic room of all; it has high ceiling, colorful floor and was originally built for the local residents some centuries ago. We decided to maintain the atmosphere of the room by keeping it "old fashioned" and antique-like-style. We always hope it will make our guests feel like a local for the day! We now provide breakfast for an extra charge. Actually, since the Carmel market is in the same neighborhood as we are - and since every room has it's own fridge, kettle and few kitchen facilities (some rooms have a whole kitchen), you can fix your own breakfast and have it at the terrace garden. Really lovely guesthouse. Location good v bear sea and yeheminate quarter. Although room slightly smaller than thought and high windows so quite dark it's very clean and comfortable. Relaxed and staff very very helpful would recommend. Emma, from England ~ 12th Sep 2011
