I had an absolutely great time at El Misti, more fun than any of the other hostels I saw in Rio. Amazing breakfast, friendly staff, great vibe. Highly recommend.

The staff was very nice and helpful. There where only small lokers outside the room, that you had to pay fpr pr day.

This is a well located 'party' hostel. Music doesn't stop till about 1 am so don't go here if u want early nights!Try to get a twin/double upstairs as these are far nicer,quieter and have a TV. There is little security at this hostel apart from small lockers at reception so a double/twin is good for safety reason too.

They trid to bite off a little more then they could chew over carnival 2008. 96 people to 4 bathrooms is never fun, especially as they claimed proudly it would soon be 5! We had a blast, but only because of the people there. We called our room ´the black hole of Calcutta´ I´ll leave it at that.
