On the description of the hostel, here on Hostel.com, there's said that it would take approx. 15 minutes to walk to the opera house, this is far from correct. It takes around or over 30 minutes. You should change this information. chriss, from Sweden ~ 31st Mar 2013

The hostel is great, very clean and good rooms. I did not enjoy my stay at all because the hostel is infested with Germans. I'm German myself and yet have to figure out why I chose to stay at that hostel. I did not travel half the world to see German Southpark episodes or have conversations in German in the kitchen and it is pretty hard to join existing groups of German backpackers. Eva's Backpackers was from my point of view a perfect place to be during our stay in Sydney. We've spent two night there an returned - after a two week journey - for another two nights. The place is well lokated, next to the "party-centre" of Sydney. Also, the city-centre (with the Opera House, Harbor Bridge etc.) is easily and (also by night) safely reachable within a 15 min. walk. There is a big kitchen area, where - if you want or not - will get to know a lot a new people. Great place 2B! Boris, from Germany ~ 28th Jan 2013

Eva's Bakpackers is a great place to stay in Sydney even if the area is a little "heated". The staff and the backpackers are cool and warm and there isa real soul in the place. The roof top is really nice to have a drink in the beginning of the evening with a nice view and a barbecue! Claire-Marie, from France ~ 16th Jan 2013

Eva's is still my favorite hostel in Sydney. Located in Potts Point, it's close to clubs and bars, plus you can walk into the city easily. I love the rooftop, but it should be open till late. Internet is free but should be upgraded to a faster connection/more traffic. The kitchen is clean, the atmosphere cozy. Too bad there's no free breakfast anymore. Staff is nice and the cleaners do a great job. Although the facilities are average and some things could be renovated, I'd always come back here. Andreas, from Germany ~ 24th Sep 2012
