perfect place, not downtown but only 15 min walking to the centre, but if your feet are sore there are buses too. And Liverpool is such a fascinating and vibrant city - don't miss it! In the bus: Don't ask for a day ticket, but for the SAFEAWAY ticket (which is valid for all 4 or 5 Liverpool bus companies) to avoid ending up with a fine collection of different day tickets - the bus drivers had fun examining them! Private room was large with a gas heater which was nice.Shower holder was broken so water went all over the floor.Breakfast was included but we couldn't use it as there was no milk left and probably due to that, the one two-slice toaster in the room was being hogged by a big group of people.Reception didn't open until 10am so we couldn't even ask for more milk. On arrival at the hostel we were expected to pay a £100 deposit which we had not being previously advised off, we did this and requested a reciept only to be told they did not supply receipts eventually we convinced them to write us out a receipt in exchange for the money. We were very disapointed when we arrived in our room to find a catalogue of faults, the sink in the bathroom was hanging off the wall, the shower did not work properly and we later found a worm in the bathroom. I think that only one bathroom in a 10 people bed-dorm is not enough.
1 bathroom int he 10 bed has been sufficent since all dorms have 1 bathroom and there is access to another 2 bathrooms in the shared areas. There is always another bathroom to use. We have 11 bathrooms so please ask. Thank you

I would stay at this hostel again. Very cheap, yet extremely nice. Each room has its own bathroom and kitchen, and the rooms were quite spacious. Also, free unlimited hot chocolate, coffee, and tea! Jennifer, from USA ~ 13th Apr 2012
