We have stayed at a few places in Singapore, and so far this is the best place we have stayed. The location is perfect, right to the side of Chinatown, 2 1 minute walk and you are in the midst of the fun, but removed enough that it is super quiet at night.
Its really a small hostel, but it has everything you need and the staff are amazing, friendly and helpful. Bathroom is shared only, but its clean, and because its such a small hostel, its not a problem getting in.

If you're a couple staying in doubles, this hostel is an excellent choice. The room was clean, spacious, air-conditioned (as all the rooms in this hostel) and comfortable. There's a free and fast Wi-Fi connection which works also in the room. We definitely recommend this hostel.

Fernloft is a warm,cosy and welcoming place, very well connected to all parts of Singapore. It has super supportive and friendly staff. My stay there was fun.

I like it so much. Moreover, Cathy, staff of Fernloft, is nice. However, we need to keep noice when we went back to the bed lately to respect to other room-mates.
