Green Tortoise was super close to everything in Seattle, WA.The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful.They had great recommendations for the area and were able to help me get there.I've already recommended this hostel to others. Charles, from USA ~ 26th May 2013

I stayed as a solo female in a mixed 6-bed room. You can't beat the location- it's RIGHT next to Pike's Market, Target, & 2 blocks away from the Westlake Station & tons of buses on 3rd. It reminded me of the student co-ops in Berkeley. The room was smelly (between drying towels & sweaty traveling bodies) and the kitchen a lil groddy. I loved that you could make a legit egg-&-pancake breakfast (included!), they listed weeks events, offered free tours, & they offered free fridge food. Great value. Nicole, from USA ~ 24th May 2013

The ease of the location was everything. We were three married women without our spouses and we had a blast! The security was good, the staff was definitely on it whatever the issue, and the breakfast was the best arrangement I have seen at a hostel. We will return. Elise, from USA ~ 16th May 2013

Staff was a bit disorganized & it didn't help that they got new software. Very friendly but I noticed that they should be more attentive with the checked baggage because it didn't seem like they were really checking that I had taken my luggage & I felt I could have probably taken anyone's. Requested an all-female room but there was a male in the room we got. Great location near all the tourist-y sites and I could tell that the bedding was cleaned very well before my arrival. The last time I stayed here, it was in the old location. If you're looking for a good location in downtown, this is it. Some of the kids didn't know how to be quite while other people were sleeping though. Left the room and didn't even turn out the lights. Not the hostel's fault. Just some a&&.
