Excellent staff. However, they really ought not to call that slice of bread and butter in the morning a breakfast! really poor! federico, from Italy ~ 7th May 2012

Didn't appreciate having to climb up to an upper bunk bed (although I had been allocated a lower bunk, someone in the room had asked to change to it from an upper bunk and had been told they could). Friendly, helpful staff. Cleaning staff were thorough and well chosen to do their work with a smile. TV often loud and in close proximity to eating area Breakfast poor - just bread to toast with spreads and instant hot tea/coffee.No fresh milk and insufficient mugs/glasses to go round. I stayed here as a point along a trip of academic pursuits...while the general place was nice, the atmosphere is not one I would recommend to others.I stayed in the dormitory where it was very loud at all hours of the day and night, people constantly coming and going, lights on and off, drinking, smoking marijuana, and I overheard extremely vulgar conversations about the guests' sexual exploits - all elements of which were extremely disappointing. If you want to come to Tel Aviv to party and be i Tony-Saba, from USA ~ 14th Sep 2011

The Hayarkon is definately the best hostels in terms of "general standards", the kitchen facilities and common areas are great and the staff is very nice and helpful. Location is good, nice people there (definately a younger, outgoing crowd). The prices are a bit higher though and I personally think it's a bit annoying if lockers cost extra. Also the price for the laundry is a bit high (27 NIS). Other than that, I haven't found a better hostel in Tel Aviv or heard of one. Rebecca, from Germany ~ 21st Jul 2011
